CKHS and Premier/Official Health Providers of Philadelphia Union

Crozer-Keystone Health System and Premier Orthopaedics have teamed up to become the Philadelphia Union’s official health care provider. Chip Hummer III, M.D. and James McGlynn, M.D., of Premier Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, take care of the players’ musculoskeletal issues. They work in coordination with Steven Collina M.D. and David Webner M.D., of Crozer-Keystone’s Healthplex Sports Medicine Institute, who coordinate the players’ medical issues-such as concussion management, exercise asthma testing, pre-participation exams and all other medical issues. During the season, which stretches from January through November, the physicians work closely with the athletic training staff to provide comprehensive care for the professional soccer players and coaching staff. In addition, Crozer-Chester Medical Center’s EMS is the team’s official emergency medical services and first aid center provider. They provide these skilled clinical services to the team and their fans during each home game.
