Laura Sproat, M.D.
The Crozer-Keystone Health Network welcomes Laura Sproat, M.D. to the practice of OB/GYN Associates of Delaware County. The practice offers technologically advanced and compassionate prenatal care to pregnant women and gynecologic care to women from adolescence to menopause and beyond.
Dr. Sproat earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her internship at Christiana Care in Newark, Del. and her residency at the MetroHealth-Cleveland Clinic program in Cleveland, Ohio. Her areas of special interest include adolescent gynecology, contraception and cervical cancer screening. She enjoys working closely with patients and believes that they are an integral part of their plan of care.
Dr. Sproat is accepting new patients. The office has locations in Drexel Hill, Ardmore, and Springfield, Pa. and Cherry Hill, NJ. Please call (610) 626-7070 for an appointment.
Anne Margaret Frederickson, M.D. and Jane Marians Summers, M.D.
The Crozer-Keystone Health Network welcomes Anne Margaret Frederickson, M.D. and Jane Marians Summers, M.D. to the department of Psychiatry. Delaware County’s largest staff of board-certified psychiatrists deliver comprehensive physical and emotional diagnosis and treatment for a range of issues.
Dr. Frederickson is board-certified in psychiatry and neurology. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Haverford College, Haverford, Pa and her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. She completed a residency in child and adolescent psychiatry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. Dr. Frederickson specialties include child and adolescent psychiatry.
Board-certified in psychiatry and neurology, Dr. Summers’ specialties include psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy and women’s mental health with psychiatric issues related to obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Summers earned her masters’ degree in physiology at Georgetown University and her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She completed her residency and internship at the Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.

DCMH Home Care Department Earns ‘HomeCareElite™’ Status for Third Year
For the third year in a row, Delaware County Memorial Hospital’s Home Care department was selected as one of the “2009 HomeCareElite™,” the annual compilation of the most successful home health care providers in the U.S. Organizations named to this status are ranked based on performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvements and financial performance.

Crozer-Keystone to Host Free Colorectal Cancer Screening Awareness Educational Programs
Crozer-Keystone Health System, a longtime leader in cancer treatment, will recognize Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month (March) with free colorectal cancer screening awareness educational programs at its two cancer centers. Each appointment will include a clinical exam by a qualified physician.
The programs will be held at the following locations:
· Crozer-Chester Medical Center (One Medical Center Boulevard, Upland), March 3 and from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Crozer Regional Cancer Center.
· Delaware County Memorial Hospital (501 N. Lansdowne Ave., Drexel Hill), March 25 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Delaware County Regional Cancer Center.
Appointments are recommended for those over 50 (or younger if there is a family history of colorectal cancer) who have not been previously diagnosed with colorectal cancer, who have not had a colonoscopy in the last 12 months, and who are not currently undergoing treatment for colorectal cancer.

Crozer-Keystone Health System is dedicated to reducing heart disease, vascular disease and stroke in the communities we serve. That’s why
we are proud to offer comprehensive Cardiovascular Day” health fairs at four of our hospitals. Each of these events will offer glucose/cholesterol screenings, blood pressure screenings, stroke risk assessments and health information and activities provided by a range of Crozer-Keystone departments.

Join the physicians and clinicians of Crozer-Chester Medical Center for comprehensive information about the topics parents-to-be care about most, like preconception planning, mom’s changing body, delivery day, feeding baby and more. The event will be held on Saturday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Clark Auditorium at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, located at One Medical Center Boulevard in Upland. Registration and a free continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. The event will also feature raffles and giveaways from Crozer-Keystone, including a car seat, and informational tables about child safety, first aid, exercise, nutrition and more! Free Health Fairs at the Granite Run Mall
Join Crozer-Keystone in the Center Court of Granite Run Mall (1067 W. Baltimore Pike, Media, Pa.) from noon to 3 p.m. for a free health fair
