SPRINGFIELD, Pa — For the third year in a row, Delaware County Memorial Hospital’s Home Care department was selected as one of the “2009 HomeCareElite™,” the annual compilation of the most successful home health care providers in the U.S.
Organizations named to this status are ranked based on performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvements and financial performance. The information used to measure each of the three areas for this annual review, which identifies the top 25 percent of agencies in the nation, is based on publicly available data that were submitted by each home health agency.
“The management team, clinical and support staff of the Home Care departments work to provide quality care to our patients while being fiscally responsible, which is a major challenge,” says Jane Hanahan, administrative director of Home Care and Hospice for CKHS. “The ‘HomeCareElite™’ status demonstrates our commitment to providing quality care to our patients. I am proud that we have been given this distinction for three years in a row and I look forward to meeting the same goal in the years to come.”
